JJ Duarte
President
JJ is a third-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. With plans to graduate in Fall 2023, he aims to continue his studies with a masters program in accountancy. Born and raised in San Diego, he plans to start his career in his hometown, where he will intern this summer. Outside of his academic pursuits, JJ enjoys surfing, photography, reading, and spending time with friends.
Britney Hong
VP of Firm Relations
Britney is a second-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a minor in Anthropology & Geography. She plans to graduate in Winter 2025 with CPA eligibility. She is originally from Los Angeles, California but has come to adopt San Luis Obispo as her new home. She aspires to become an audit professional in the accounting industry upon graduation. Outside of the CPAC setting, Britney enjoys singing, lavishly indulging in self-care routines, going on spontaneous adventures with friends, and trying out new recipes to cook!
Jace Grieco
VP of Finance
Jace is a third-year student studying Business Administrations and concentrating in Accounting. He plans to graduate with a Bachelor's degree and CPA eligibility in June of 2024. Jace grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley just north of Santa Barbara but was born in Michigan. He plans to move to Nashville, Tennessee after graduating, to pursue a career in accounting related fields and will one day start a Real Estate LLC. Jace enjoys hobbies like the harmonica, reading, wakeboarding, working out, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Yoali Romero
Director of Publicity
Yoali Romero is a second-year Business Administration major concentrating in accounting with a minor in nutrition, and plans to graduate June 2025 with CPA eligibility. Yoali grew up in Orange County, California and upon graduation intends to pursue a career in corporate accounting near home. In addition to CPAC, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new coffee shops, and attempting to embroider. If you spot her on campus you’ll most likely see her with a Starbucks or Scouts coffee in her hand!
Abbie Harooni
Director of Activities
Abbie Harooni is a second-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Abbie is originally from Los Angeles, California, and plans to begin her career at a public accounting firm back home upon graduating. She plans to graduate in June of 2025 with CPA eligibility. Aside from CPAC, Abbie is a board member of the Financial Independence Club, involved in Cal Poly choirs, and works as a sales associate and social media manager for a local restaurant. In her free time, she likes to play piano, spend time with friends, workout, listen to music, and travel.

Spencer Zhang
Director of Community, Diversity, and Inclusion
Spencer is a first-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration possibly concentrating in accounting or information systems and plans to graduate in June of 2026. He was raised in San Diego, California, but originally born in New Jersey! After graduating from Cal Poly, Spencer aims to begin an accounting career in southern california and earn his Professional golf association (PGA) license. Apart from CPAC, he enjoys playing golf, watching soccer, trying new foods, listening to music, and hanging out with family and friends.
Analise Asaro
Director of Upper-Class Professional Development
Analise Asaro is a 3rd year Business Administration student with a concentration in Accounting. She plans on graduating in Winter of 2023 with CPA eligibility so that she can start studying for the CPA exam. She is originally from Redondo Beach, California and will be living in San Francisco this summer for her internship. Aside from CPAC, Analise is a member of Delta Sigma Pi, the co-ed professional business fraternity and loves to do anything outdoors with her friends.
Finn Poulin
Director of Lower-Class Professional Development
Finn is a first-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, planning to concentrate in accounting; he plans to graduate with CPA eligibility in June 2026. Finn is from Irvine, California and will most likely start a public accounting career in California after graduating from Cal Poly. Aside from CPAC, he enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, and drawing. He also bakes from time to time, and can do some basic knitting.
Zoe Popp
Secretary
Zoe Popp is a third-year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Spanish. She plans to graduate with CPA eligibility in Spring of 2024. She is originally from Seattle, Washington and will be spending this summer at home for her internship. Upon graduation, she intends to pursue a career in tax. In her free time, Zoe loves getting outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
James Kaney
CPAC Advisor
James Kaney, CPA, is an accounting lecturer who specializes in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Commercial Bank Management. Earned his MBA at Cal Poly, and became a governmental auditor, a founding director of two independent banks, and an owner of diversified neat processing and food distribution business.
