Descriptions

President

The CPAC President is the face of the club. They are in charge of ensuring all of our members and firm partners needs are met. The President works with the entire executive board on goal setting and to support their success. This position requires a big time commitment and the individual is always thinking of ways to improve CPAC.

Vice President of Firm Relations

The VP of Firm Relations plays an integral role in CPAC's relationships with key recruiting firms. They are in charge of creating the weekly meeting schedule and communicating with firms prior to their arrival on campus regarding logistics. They also order weekly meeting food, follow up with thank yous to firms and maintain the firm contact list. 

Vice President of Professional Events

The VP of Events works with committees to plan Spring Banquet, Fall Symposium, and Careers in Accounting Day. This involves an imense amount of cordination between the committees, CPAC Board, our members, faculty, staff, firms, and alumni.  

Vice President of Finance

The VP of Finance works closely with our event committees and board to ensure we stay within budget. They use Quickbooks to record all revenue and expenses. They are also in charge of working with ASI to reconcile our account and submit all Payment Request Forms. Our membership roster is also maintained by the treasurer. 

Secretary

The Secretary plays a major role in the day to day activities of CPAC. The role is broken into two parts, the more traditional secretary role along with technology support. They are responsible for maintaining All-Star Points, board meeting minutes, and the weekly raffle. On the technology side, they manage our website, as well as Google Apps, which we use for our email and document storage. 

Director of Publicity

The Director of Publicity is responsible for creating the public image of our club. They manage our Facebook and Instagram accounts to ensure our members and supporters are up to date on upcoming events. The position is also responsible for the weekly email to our members and creating any promotional materials including flyers and swag items. The publicity lead also coordinates Open House and WOW events that CPAC takes part in.

Director of Social Activities

The Director of Social Activities plays an integral role in fostering bonding among our members. They are in charge of our yearly Day in the Park event and quarterly Intramural Sports Teams.

Director of Community Relations

The Director of Community Relations provides CPAC an avenue to give back. They are in charge of OCOB Olympics and oversee a committee to put this yearly philanthropy event. The position also leads our financial literacy efforts and quarterly giving back events.

Director of Upper-Class Professional Development

The Director of Professional Development works to ensure our members are prepared for socials, interviews, leadership conferences, intearnships, and the first day of work. This is done through workshops, panels, partnerships with firms, and working closely with career services.

Director of Lower-Class Professional Development

The Director of Professional Development works to ensure our members are prepared for socials, interviews, leadership conferences, internships, and the first day of work. This is done through workshops, panels, partnerships with firms, and working closely with career services.

The CalCPA Ambassador is responsible for connecting the Cal Poly Accounting Program with CalCPA. The position is responsible for holding meetings to inform students about accounting and the CPA Exam.
